About The Director

Glenn has served in a variety of capacities in the field of Jewish education but reflects back on his days as Director of Camp Ramah in California as particularly satisfying given that many of today's local Jewish lay and professional leadership worked with him at camp. After leaving Ramah, Glenn went on to become Hadassah's chief youth professional and spearheaded a drive to re-fashion Hadassah's youth related projects and camps both in the United States and Israel. For the 13 years following, he served as the founding Executive Director of the Center for Jewish Living and Learning, one of the BJE's sister agencies in Oakland, California.

Glenn holds Masters degrees in Educational Psychology from UCLA and Jewish Studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary. He was ordained at JTS and also holds an honorary doctorate from JTS.

At the BJE, Glenn works closely with the Los Angeles community of teachers, youth professionals, administrators and volunteer leadership toward the goal of assuring a future of enriched Jewish learning in the community's diverse network of educational venues.
